Guest Doostalker Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 I was sent a link to a website by a friend. When I scrolled down the page there was some reference to pigeon racing. If you want to see what some people think of us, and our pastime, have a look here. http://www.looking-glass.co.uk/news/library2002/animalnation.htm >
Guest Paulo Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 who cares they are all a bunch of cranks any way hypocrites have plants got no rights either when they eat them. Its a cruel world it always has been and always will. If we can't even treat our own species right what hope have other species got. Don't get me wrong I'm not condoning cruelty but these people don't live in the real world are we all supposed to eat nothing but grass and go back to living in caves thats the only way we won't exploit the planet bet these goons love their nice warm houses with central heating, dvds etc pathethic
Guest Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 the people that usually make the judgements on issues are people that have never experienced it or have read up on it one night when they were bored . if they took time out to see the world beyond their nose they would see wot a great sport we take part in,plus the amount of ppl in business because of racing pigeons.
Guest Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 I'm going to disagree with you people on this one. Animal rights activists can become a serious danger to our sport. This has been proved in the United States with all the problems we have encountered shipping our pigeons by the United States Postal Service. For every e-mail and letter bird shippers have sent to the Postal Service, Senators Congressmen etc the AR Nut Jobs have sent 20. Eventually we have won and are birds are now being shipped faster and more efficiently. This has been an uphill struggle for the AU. We will still have to contend with AR nutters who are in the employ of the USPS and refuse to accept our birds for shipment and have in the past been verbally abusive to pigeon flyers. These people have money in the Bank, supplied by "Stars" who want to get their name in lights example Pamela Anderson. We read on here last year that AR Nut Jobs had released pigeons from Transporters at night, we have to be so very careful of what we say on these forums as these Sick Freaks will copy our words, post them on their web pages and use our words against us.
Guest Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 Had a quick skim over the webpage and my overall impression was 'distortion'. Author picked out only the worst case examples of the many issues he roller-coasted thro. Hadn't one positive thing to say about what he sees simply as 'meat', and of course he totally avoided what his group eat ... 'veg' and all that is done in the name of rearing that!!! Poor plants always kept inside the house, never feel the fresh air or raindrops, see the sun, have another of their kind for company ..... countryside torn up, trees torn down, all for cereal crops .... ;D

Adolf Hitler!
Guest slugmonkey Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 I definatly think this person has too much time on their hands the sad part is that they are obviously NOT alone on their views I also agree 100% with Hyacinth that these people are a threat to us and our sport !!!
