barlbylofts Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 i was given some good birds from shadow and i can say they are good stuff to.the only thing is breaking them is a pain in the neck.they are all over the place and cant get them to drop in the loft realy gets te me that.i do apricate the birds and they will probable do me well but one thing i know is i will never want to break in birds from another loft again, mark barlbylofts
stevebelbin Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 They soon get with the system, and if you fly widowhood you will find you have a massive advantage as they will tend to go to and throw from loft to loft. Mine did anyhow and they were as fit as a fiddlers elbow
Guest shadow Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 Mark they may be winding you up but none have come back here stick with them and they will really settle down when on eggs next year
westburylofts Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 Hi Mark I have just broken 17 out of 20 yb's that came from a fancier who has passed away. the advice i was given was to soap there wings with fairy liquid and let them wonder around the garden for a few week's i waited 3 weeks, then after letting them out i put a bath down for them and let them do what they wanted, but i made sure on this day they was hungry as well, most went off and i thought that was it but the next few days they all but 3 returned.
