Peckedhen Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Pigeon v crow. I know you've said that the crows take your young birds - take a look at this pigeon - he's having none of it!! ;D ;D
THE FIFER Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 very good peckedhen, interesting, i think the one on the video is a hooded crow, the ones which go for the pigeons are carrion crows, they are the ones with the long black beak, many thanks good picture,
jimmy white Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 ive seen them nail a yb in the sky [the carion crows ] but being bothered bad with hawks lately , yesterday watched a pair of crows ward away a hen sparrowhawk, way in to the distance , then the pair of crows returned to the big tree at the back of me, [looks as though theve just settled there] so far theve not bothered the birds , but was surprised at the viciousnessof the crows warding off that hawk in mid air, so i think now that the crows are the best of two evils p.s cant seem to get that link sue , but will try later
