Guest Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 There are many roads that lead to Rome and many different feeding methods,we have a tough race course where we have to feed our pigeons for survival especially on the longer races, so my feeding method ewouldn't work except for people who fly in the same enviroment as I do. One thing I will say.take a look at the long range weather forecast and the predictions of the wind directions on race day, tail wind and headwind feeding are two different ball parks.
Guest Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 hiya steve...i fly natural,i feed my birds to no set time,i feed the cheapest corn i can give and i train my birds no more then 20mls away. the birds will let u know how much to feed them, how lazy they become is down to u. u wont believe this but im the most relaxed flyer there is ...my birds (old birds) will only fly some 20 mins round the house some days.but on race day they do the business. i have a tub which i fill up and pour into the feeders.if u watch how much they eat b4 going for a drink ur see how much to give them next time..its all trial and error i believe..its only my opinion but its worked for me...there are others who wouldnt do this. the local lads take the pizz out of me feeding my birds dog mixer biscuits from lidls.lol....the yellow bag.i spotted them nicking the dogs from his bowl...after takin the pizz out of me for 3 wks they soon stopped after i topped the strong welsh fed on them....now the joke is my birds cock their legs b4 entering the cot lol. ;D ;D
