Dave A Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 aquired these 2 pigeons today from a local man who has had to give up the birds due to having cancer, he had too many birds to sell of as he had no idea of what was what, so decided to dispose of them all, he has given away free of charge as many as people in our club want, but i decided i did not have the room, but today they were disposed of (the 900+ that were left) but 1 hen kept escaping the inevitable so my dad (of which there was 3 of them clearing them out) said that she deserves a second chance and got a cock to go with her so these 2 have got a place in my stock loft for next season. not sure what breed they are and would be interested to know what you think they are, they are mostly white with grizzled flights and one has the same tail colouring as a blue and one has a grizzled tail. Today is a very sad day to me as it is yet another pigeon man having to give up the sport due to illness, and a lot of racers purchased from all over the world have died. But lets hope these two little pigoens carry on the dream of a lot of the pigeons from their old loft and the fancier that owned them
aarden Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 i wonder if they are meulemans or grooters ?
