We put the bath in the aviary.

I would say never to put bath water inside the loft under any circumstances.  Even in dry climates the water will promote things you don't want in the loft.  Keep the loft dry with lots of fresh air and you will be fine.  Bath water in the aviary I have no problem with.  Ed
