pdordin Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 hi,hopper feed,i am in the same boat as you,i hopper feed tic beans, old and young.they dont eat to many beans droppings hard all the time.write to the bhw, asking for back copies of the writings,of the late ken evitts [teesider].the articles were on bean feeding, and his methods all very simple. ;) ;)
Guest mytton6 Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Hi Pdordin Thanks for your reply , do you give then seeds or peanuts or extras later in the seson , and not being funny how do they race for you on this system ????? i no a good flyer who does this till wed morn then changes the beans to a excelent racing mix david
pdordin Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 hi,i feed my birds beans, beans and more beans.hormform, and groats as tit bits.you will never get yb sickness, with beans.write to the bhw,put a couple of quid in the letter for postage.it will be the best money you will ever spend.all roads lead to rome, what works for me might not work for others, but this system is for fanciers with little time, follow the system to the letter.you will save a fortune on the crap you put in the drinkers. hope the info helps pdordin ;D
Guest bristolkev Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 hey mytton i have that article by ken evitts, give me your e-mail address and i`ll send it to you.
jimmy white Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 a lot would depend on the distances you would be going for , but in general , with shifts like you have would advise hopper feeding with beans, but giving them some carboheydrates to get them in and give them a treat , but again depending on distance :)
mark Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 he done a few articals called varations on a theme and the other was called to bean or not to bean.
