How much should i up the food intake of my birds while they are rearing youngsters. And how often should i feed them.Feeding once aday at the moment (as much as they want for 30 mins or so)but they allways seem hungry so i am putting a bit extra in each box in the morning and also of a night a few hours before lights out .All the youngsters seem fit and healthy up to now(a week old) but i am more worried about the parents not getting enough.Any thoughts would be helpfull thanks.

When the birds are feeding youngsters i feed as much as they want twice a day, morning and tea time.I will leave the corn in till the birds have pumped the youngsters and ate themselfs.I always take the food away after as if you leave it in front of them all the time they dont feed as much to the youngsters..

As many times as you possibly feed them - you cant feed them too much when there feeding YBs. And always make sure once they have fed the YBs in the evening that they have time to feed themselves afterwards!!
