I think there could be some truth in what you say you only have to look how the sport is growing in the poor countries. But they way things are going with the kids nowadays it will be the fancier that will be drug tested not the birds.

In ten years time we will be sitting on our computers watching the race unfold

tracking devices on or birds picked up on satellite and sent to our screens.

robots cleaning our lofts and feeding the birds, auto doors to let them out, birds will be picked up at your door and took to the race no more going to the club for result as they will be up loaded by the ETS. No more rings, a chip will be implanted that can be scanned and if your bird does not come home just log on to your computer and trace its chip by satellite. All young birds will be DNA tested to be 100% sure of its breeding. All birds will need to be registered with a pedigree and like dogs.

If you send 10 birds to a race you will only be racing against the people that sent a max. of 10 if you send 20 you will be racing against the people that sent 20 max. and so on, so we can have 10 winners all winning against people in the 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100 bird classes. So instead of having club winners we will have class winners.

PS don't take what im saying serious im just having a laugh.

Nah Pigeonscout, we'll bring the birds to basketing and the expert will get his glass out and workout what's going to win and the birds can be returned to the loft, without worrying about losing them to Hawks or paying a fortune to rent transporters :o :'( ;D

gangster I have tried for 2 years now to house train my birds but no luck.

we can get them to fly from france but can not get them to go outside for a dump? we must be doing something wrong.

dream on the trouble makers will close it down before that I escaped this year and will not be coming back under any circumstances

Best Answer I've seen and read for years  I was eating your words thought I'd gone to heaven , then read the last sentence and crashed to earth.

 

 

 

I think the sport will pick up again.My reasoning is that we are heading for a recession and all though we all pay through the nose's for birds and tonics now, we dont have to.And it will all come back to grass roots flying either on the allotment or in the back garden.For the next few years people are gonna be so worried about the steady decline in our sport that lots and lots of advertising will take place and then when the recession hits people will think back to what there grandads and dads did for fun.And see alll the advertising about pigeon racing and BANGGG people will go mad on flying the birds and a new industry will spring up and The humble pigeon fancier will help drag us out of the recession and make britain great again and we will all be Heroe's and every one will worship us and our birds .the great pigeon flyers will have statues erected in there honour along side the statue will be another statue of there best bird in gold............NAhhh we will be lucky to be racing i reckon
