Guest Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 I RECON WE SHOULD ASK TO HAVE A CULL ON HAWKS TO GET OUR WILD BIRD POPULATION BACK UP AND LESS PEOPLE WOULD LEAVE THE SPORT I HAD 3 HIT MY MR PERIGRINE TO DAY Ben, both pigeon keepers and game keepers have requested licenses to cull out troublesome hawks, and (as far as I know) none have ever been granted because the applicant has not been able to show that he/she used 'legal' deterrents to get rid of the troublesome birds. I know that you took a hit and I've more than a few birds injured last year thro the same thing, but I'd like to see us all getting better at being politically clever, by trying out every 'legal' deterrant first, and if they work ... fine ... but if they don't then we have shown full compliance with the Act, and individual fanciers should get their license granted.
