jimmy white Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 a few days ago, the birds were very nervy, [this was b4 my perigrine attack] luckily there were two forum members here ,, a hawk type bird , very large , seagulls swooping on it looked like a minatures,, this hawk , vey large, , flying quite low, white in colour [,parts] def not a buzzard , heading straight from south to north big bird with pointed flights [something like the shape of a pigeons wing] never seen anything like it ,,and neither did these other two members , anybody any idea what this could have been ??

Guest Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Reported similar sightings here Jimmy, huge, huge bird: scale wise, the biggest crow looks like a small dove beside it. Wing end sharp - no fingers feathers there, and wing length and width on a par with a gull.

Wing end sharp - no fingers feathers there, and wing length and width on a par with a gull. seen these birds down here although they were quite high up funnily enough they were heading north dont know what kind though on osprey s but never seen one alive ,having said that i have seen quite a few birds of prey that i dont know the name of and been thinking for a long tiome that they are some sort of hybrid thats been released into the wild ,
