brunos,quite right about the" nuts ;D" to put it bluntly , the ones that are sold for wild birds etc can contain mould [this can actualy cause aspergiiosis quite easy ] better from the health shop ,, for human consumtion, [with the shells off ;D],,[they last for ages if unshelled ;D ;D], if you  know your nuts, ;D you can easy go by smell , taste and looks [ i bought a bag from pet city a while ago, they were shocking ,,tied bag,,,,far better bought in small quantities [dont give them too much that way] fom the health shop,, and they dont have time to go off
