Hi there, just wondered if anyone could help as i have a bit of a problem.

Yesterday i found a Racing Pigeon in the Garden being chased by a cat. It doesn't have any ID rings on it but i have not checked under the wings. Is this a wild sort of Racing Pigeon i wonder?

There doesn't seem to be any damage to the Pigeon as it flaps it's Wings but it wont fly away. When sitting on my arm...i kid you not...the Tail feathers (the bit where it joins between the Wings) points downward even when sat on a flat surface it points downward and the bird rolls sideways but doesn't tip right over on it's side. It has not eaten or even attempted to drink.

It's poo is of a yellow coloured consistency.

What can i do with it, can i take it somewhere or should i just wait and see what happens.

I've kept white Doves before but i've never known a Racing pigeon or at least that's what i think it is, to be so friendly! :)

Thanks in advance.

take the bird to the rspca it sounds very sick or if you know someone who keeps racing pigeons he could probably help you out.
