timbarra Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 what are peoples best birds and what are their perfomances . how many 1st ? or prizes?
stevebelbin Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Best cock ive got is an 8 year bushaert, won 3 channel races for me and scored in loads of races nicknamed "Mr Reliable", and a son of him has also won 3 channel races, + a daughter of him has bred a winner. He still flys out everyday and still looks like a yearling. Wish I had a loft full of birds like him lol
timbarra Posted May 29, 2007 Author Report Posted May 29, 2007 hi steve, how do you breed him, linebreed or cross, he sounds a really good one and to many top pigeons never come home , so the stock loft is the best place for them.
stevebelbin Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 I always intend on taking a few rounds of him each year, but I dont want to wear him out so only get a pair or two of him each year. He was crossed with a Marcellis pigeon when he bred the son that was 22nd combine, but that hen is no longer with us lol. He is now paired to a Billy Napper hen through Tommy Napper, so ill see how they do. I was thinking of pairing him to his daughter, but I think that may be a bit close for my liking!!! The lad who bred him has refused to tell me were he bought the parents of him, as he whos ill go and buy some more lol. He kept the nestmate to him and its won a few channel races aswell.
Guest Paulo Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 you can breed me one next year belbin hiding the real goods of the loft away eh lol ;D ;D
