mobster Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 me and my friend made a sputnik trap and there is a problem. when the pigeon came in, it jumps out of the trap. can anybody help me about the design or measurement of a standard sputnik trap. i think ours need some modification.. regards gary
Peckedhen Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I had the same problem with mine! The dowels are 4 and 1/4 inches apart and the bottom of the hole they go through is 11" up from the floor. We solved the problem by adding a strip of 1" wood along the bottom of the hole they go through. It seems they can't manage to jump the extra inch! ;D
mobster Posted February 14, 2006 Author Report Posted February 14, 2006 nice idea. thanks there peckedhen. gary
