me and my friend made a sputnik trap and there is a problem. when the pigeon came in, it jumps out of the trap.

 

can anybody help me about the design or measurement of a standard sputnik trap.

 

i think ours need some modification..

I had the same problem with mine!  The dowels are 4 and 1/4 inches apart and the bottom of the hole they go through is 11"  up from the floor. We solved the problem by adding a strip of  1" wood along the bottom of the hole they go through. It seems they can't manage to jump the extra inch!  ;D
