Guest Vic Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Who on earth? sent the nw combine birds to Kingsdown? when a strong Westerly wind was screaming for a Hastings race.We had time on our side, so why wasn't it used? I, myself contacted various leading members throughout the combine area stressing the need for a "testing" race, at least. No small wonder, the game is dying. >
johnny11 Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Vic firmly believe the North liverpool fed set this up for themselves, total B******S if you ask me. Never heared of the Wirral having to give Widnes three mile. They still got beat by the Wirral from a racepoint and wind in their favour....Talk about hand picked.. Dont think I will be sending with the Combine next year will just send with the MNFC. Sick of the crap at meetings and sick of the Liverpool feda nd Amal trying to run things all the time and at 27.00 per crate and 1.50 per crate holdover
johnny11 Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Sorry Vic after the rant I sent and clocked at 12-27-01
Guest Vic Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Yes John. Some of 'em are a law unto themselves. Sounds a decent bird of yours, You must have been close. Were you?
johnny11 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 cant beat those Jones & Thomas blokes 1,2,3,4th one @ 12.21, 12.22, 12,22, 12,25 and 12,25. just managed to beat the fifth pigeon. can you belive we give Widnes overfly when on any "normal race we get tim eoff them" John
Guest Vic Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 John , I told John Worrall (Widnes) , that there was no 500 mile race, because he hadn't heard. He also agreed that they should have gone to Hastings, but somebody had already "sorted" it, early Saturday morning. Worrall and Crowe timed at 12. 21 he told me later. This jockeying for crucial vantage points has been going on for years in the Amal, hence the departure of most Liverpool clubs, leaving the easterly Knowsley ones more or less in total domination. The fed wouldn't let the Croxteth in, yet accepted more easterly clubs. They reckon it's all sorted out at the "Corn Shop".
johnny11 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Vic Crowe and Worrall probably top the Combine with that. they usually give Jones & thomas three mile but from this racepoint they give Crowe and Worral 3 mile. But well done to them for 1st North West Combine How did you get on yourself?
Guest Vic Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 John, I was 10 minutes behind our winner, but I geared mine up for 500mile not a 1400 blowhome from the coast. ;D ;D (That's my excuse). By the way.a Roby pigeon tops the Amal doing 1389, What was C & W's velocity?
Guest Vic Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 John, I've just had a chat with John Worrall and his velocity was , 1397 but he was well beaten by a fellow clubmate with a nw combine topper recording 1414. But we are comparing the donkey derby with a classic aint we? ;D ;D ;D
