Yearling Dark Grizzle hen arrived home yesterday afternoon from Newark race on 26th May, with an old injury under her wing, at the shoulder. Bird has obviously been looked after and her injuries tended to.

Rung on her right leg   SU06NW8191 with an ETS ring on her left leg, intact.

and despite being a dark grizzle has she a lighter coloured head ?? if so was fed and watered here for  two days !                                        andy

;D well Bruno , its sounds a strange co-incedence but this hen (if its the same one) was here for 2 days very calm , but wouldnt come in , flew with youngbirds and later old birds but chose to sit on stock shed roof . fed and watered her in pots on roof , away after second day .             andy

She has very distinctive markings and yes, very laid back. She was well down yesterday, thought she'd come a distance, but perked up OK after a drink & something to eat. What day did 'your' grizzle take off Andy? Think your near Conwy? Haven't a scoobie how she ended up in Wales.

i am near Wrexham ( if u look at a map 16 mile west of Chester ish ) but to be totally honest looked at the picture thats not the hen that was sat on my stock pen , ......... sorry mate she has been elsewhere . good luck anyway Bruno .                                                            andy  :B
