David Home Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 So very sad to hear the news of Smokie. I too like Jimmy White, remember all his songs and jokes. Would have a crack about everything. He will be sadly missed by one and all. Condolences to the Tigress and Family.
Alf_Rothwell Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT I REPORT THE DEATH OF SMOKEY , IT CAME AS A GREAT SHOCK AS THE NEWS CAME THRU AS WE WAITED ON HIM WITH HIS BIRDS FOR THE SNFC RACE,(sorry i'm lost for words) rest in peace smoke What a Shock! Had he been ill? I have had some great times with him at "Scotlands Own" and some of the Major Shows. Him and I stayed at Noel Higginsons house in Northern Ireland a few years back and he kept everyone in great humour. A great Scribe for the "RP" and one of the true characters of our sport. R.I.P. Ian and sincere condolences to Tiger Ann
