jimmy white Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 a lot of fanciers call this a protein lump,, i am the awkward one ;D in saying this is not the cause , pigeons use more protein whilst moulting,, ,, its strange how only the one usualy gets this, all being fed the same , i personally beleive this is a blood disorder of some kind,, i have had this many times b4 ,,usualy with a yb at the end of a hard season , i have found either way works , by tying a cotton tight round the base , killing off the blood supply,, or simply leaving it , and will come of on its owm ,, maybe a mess for one day 2 days later youd never knew it had it, would put garlic in water
