jimmy white Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 I HAVE USED "WESTLANDS AFTER CUT LAWN FEED AND CONDITIONER" IT NEVER HAS HARMED THE BIRDS,, MIND YOU THEIR NOT ON IT MUCH,, BUT AS IVEGOT RID OF THE WEEDS EARLIER THIS YEAR, I FIND THAT USING PHOSTROGEN SLOW RELEASE PELLETS FROM HOMEBASE ,, YOU CAN POKE A HOLE IN THE LAWN AND POKE THE PELLET CLUSTERS RIGHT BELOW THE SURFACE WHERE THE BIRDS CANT GET AT THEM ,,,OR JUST THUMB THEM IN EVERY FEW SQ YDS ,, LOVELY GREEN LAWN AND LASTS 6 MONTHS ,,,AND NO WAY THE BIRDS CAN GET AT THEM
Guest Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 I always check for a 'pet friendly' label on any gardening product before you buy. Even things like 'pathclear' for weeds on paths say they are safe for animals 'when dry'. 'Verdone' the lawn weeder I use is the same:, 'children & pets need not be excluded from area once the spray has dried'
