Earlier this week we lost in the Cotswolds one of biggest characters in pigeons Bertie Harkness of Bourton on the Water . Bertie was a good allround man who would help anyone and got many strays home for people and was a damn good north road flyer to boot.

  Bertie will be missed i will miss my friday morning cuppas with him and his freindship as will the dwindling handful of flyers left around here RIP Bertie.

even though i didnt know bertie personally,   as stated on p.b. he would do all he could to make sure that any strays got home safe and sound    he sounds like a great guy and fancier and im sure his friends and the fancy will miss him
