Okitsme Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Hi Peeps, I am quite fairly new to the sport and was hoping to be moving sometime soon. The question is will I be able to break my pigeons to my new loft and house? Also when do you guys start breeding for next year? I was thinking beginning JAn. Regards David
chichichi Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 YOU CAN BREAK SOME BUT OTHERS JUST DON'T SETTLE..PAIR THEM UP BEFORE YOU LET THEM OUT,,IT HELPS THEM BOND WITH THEIR NEW HOME.... SOME MATE UP IN DECEMBER, SOME JAN , SOME FEB,,,,DON'T REALLY MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE...WE BRED THIS YEAR LATE JAN AND HAD A FANTASTIC SEASON,,,BUT HAVE HAD GOOD ONES MATING IN DEC,,,,SO DO WHAT EVER IS EASIEST FORYOU..ALSO THE WEATHER PLAYS A BIG PART IN MATING UP... GOODLUCK ANTHONY

Regards David with a bit of care and work you should be able to break them fairly easily, and breeding depends on when you want your birds in the best feather condition if you are going to the distance races which are a bit later in the year so you would be wanting to hold the birds back a bit later on when you pair them up maybe end of february start march.
