DOVEScot Posted October 17, 2007 Author Report Posted October 17, 2007 ref post 32 ( may be just a wrong choice of word's) main object of the coxy thread's , is to make people on the site , aware of what has happened, in dealing with him, and also offer any info to folk, that have had a bad experiance in dealing with him , just my view TOTALLY AGREE. That's what the origonal thread was intended for but as usual a lot more came out in the wash it seems, and members are just wonderering where it is going and what is coming out
sherlock Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 TOTALLY AGREE. That's what the origonal thread was intended for but as usual a lot more came out in the wash it seems, and members are just wonderering where it is going and what is coming out Yes my dear chap, there is another twist in this tale that will be revealed sooner rather than later, and I should imagine it will only upset one person on here .I have to go and do some more research before anything else about this dastardly deed can be revealed.
polly Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 The coxy fraud to me is the deceit that I told you of. I did not mean to imply that you sherlock were involved in this in any way - only that I told you all the details of it.

Alas my dear lady friend that is not the way it looked to the wise members on here, but it is decent of you to explain this to everybody .
Guest Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Alas my dear lady friend that is not the way it looked to the wise members on here, but it is decent of you to explain this to everybody . With respect, that is the second time Polly has explained this. Only Conan Doyle's creation high on opium would take your meaning from it, or a stirrer. Lighten up.
Guest Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 What type of personal details were given out Bruno, cannae mind of seeing any only me calling her by her name instead of her AKA Polly as we know her by that and not her AKA Polly complained about Sherlock's post which contained personal details including her profession, details which had been divulged in previous PMs between them on her dealings with Coxy. Private message is surely just that unless you are given permission to pass the info on. While ago now, but I inadvertently did much the same and not only named the member but gave out his profession and 'workplace' on this forum, which as he rightly said were private details and could allow others to identify him at his workplace. Think that we must remember that this is a forum open to anyone on the internet and the last thing we should be doing is divulging details which can make members open to personal abuse, even if it was unintentional.

I appreciate your point on the site honouring peoples privacy, but in certain cases as with the Coxy saga but the more info we have the harder it is for him to get away with conning people 1. he can always keep changing his site name, very easy but back to being a newbe every time he is found out 2. he can always keep changing his IP adresses, slightly harder he would have to log on in all different places or change his Internet Provider every time he is found out 3. he can always change addresses to send the money to, a lot harder because he would have to move house or involve more people in the scams 4. he could always move out of Stoke on Trent, and so on and so on the harder it gets to con people 5. if we had a picture of him then it would be really hard to change that one, but then on second thoughts I am sure there are a lot of members on here would gladly assist him in that one ;D ;D ;D And yes if I just fell out with a member then it should be frowned upon to post members personal details for all to see. But in my opinion is that if you are on the site and using it for illgotten gains then you have a brass neck complaining about your details being posted to alert other members of intentions to con them And I am sure Polly would be last to complain if I posted a picture of Coxy on the site:-/
ch pied Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 there is only 2 way's our lad can log on without reveling his ID . i will not go into the method by which it can be done, iam sure the web master is watching for that method, so that can be blocked ;D ;D ;D

Regarding informing the world & its cousin of dubious dealings in pigeons, there is no question that that is the right thing to do. Regarding divulging an 'ordinary' member's private details without that person's express authority - there is no question that that is wrong.

The person who complained about [her] personal details being posted was Polly, and the person who posted them was Sherlock, and that is the post which I said was wrong. We have established Polly is not Coxy. "If you are on the site and using it for illgotten gains then you have a brass neck complaining about your details being posted" - I assumed you were talking about Coxy????
