Yes I'd agree with the 'Moult part', I like a little linseed before feeding, and about 20% protein in their feed. Also a wide variety with plenty of little seeds.

My birds are flying non stop now, and are in moult of course, but I like that as I feel it pumps the heart and circulates everything, and that to me, has to be good.

couldnt agree more ,,beats me why fanciers keep pigeons in all winter ,from the last race ,,,the moult part is the most important part of the year, so they need the best including seeds to ensure a good new jacket for next season :)

the second part cannot see nowt wrong with that , they get vits from the sun [what little we get] minerals they pick up, that we cant give them, flights grow in an aerodynamic [big word from me ;D] shape ..look at the prisoners flights against a bird flying free , def shaped better,,, let them have a fly and use all their organs properly in gods fresh air[ ;  free ;D]even a shower of rain will do them good [why do they dive in the bath when its raining and not dive in the loft]    off course there are exceptions i,e, fog , gales etc ,,but if im out ,,their out ;D ;D ;D
