DOVEScot Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 thats a chocolate and a red cheq pied dovescot I would agree but showed it to a number of fanciers who show and they classed it as a yellow
Guest beautyhomer Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 FACT it is a yellow. To be precise,it is a dilute recessive red. Recessive red is the gene responsible for what racing fanciers call chocolate but there is no gene for chocolate.
Guest CS Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Just to clarify what Craig has said above, We have Yellows in our lofts. These are of the old Dr. Rigg Barker bloodlines and are intermingled with the Silvers of the same family. We do not have any of my uncle Jacks lemon family. If fanciers are interested in my uncle Jacks lemon's, pm him and he'll assist you as best he can. He is a member of this site. Thank you very much for pointing it out, Davey... will pm you about lemons and birds...
ADE Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 THIS IS WHAT I CALL YELLOW, THE COCK IN THE TOP BOX AND THE PAIR UNDERNEATH.
Ronnie Posted October 17, 2007 Author Report Posted October 17, 2007 I think people are getting yellow and lemons mixed up.
DOVEScot Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 I think people are getting yellow and lemons mixed up. Aye, Lemon and Lime is a much better mix, because lemons are yellow anyway ;D ;D ;D And to confuse things even further my chocolate roller is classed as a yellow :-/
