Sajfos Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 What do Forum Members reccomend for soaking or spraying the Stock Loft out with prior to pairing up time ...I used to use Alugan or a similar name but have not seen it this last while ? Steve..
Guest Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Duramitex is the most commonly used one that I know for spraying the actual loft, there may be a problem in supply some time in the future tho, seems they've stopped making it. A spray is not suitable for use in my own loft because I have deep litter, and the only similar suitable treatment that I've used is a Pronafit smoke bomb done when the birds were still in the loft. I've done that once only. Used another bomb this year in my house loft to move on a nest of wasps and put the remaining unburnt bomb in the roof space under the empty nest, and they've never come back.
Sajfos Posted October 24, 2007 Author Report Posted October 24, 2007 Thank You Bruno . What do You consider a suitable replacement to Duramitex ?
Guest Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Tammy has experience of using this product and swears by it. The big plus for using it seems to be that this is active 24/7 whereas you have no certainty when your loft spray job stops being effective. Tammy warns the stuff is lethal so be careful Ungerzeifer Frei, is made by Van Hee, use to kill everything that moves in the loft, have used this for a good few years now and not had a p[roblem with any kind of insect or lice , you have to follow instructions very carefully as it will kill anything, dunno about active ingredient
