You may be signed up for eighteen months but if they have failed to provide the service that you requested and are having to incurr additional costs because they can not provide the service, then they have defaulted on their part of the contract. 8)
Hamster Girl Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 I know this isn't helpful in any way - but what is Orange Broad Band? Is it an ISP or something?
883girl Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Yes, started as mobile phone supplier, then got bought by vodaphone, only they didnt tell anyone that! Now they do orange broadband and went as far as saying they would offer a free laptop too, which apprarently they run out of! You can use it with your laptop or pc, but seems they haven't perfected it yet! :-/
Hamster Girl Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Eew. That's pretty skeevy, in my opinion.. Especially since it could result in a loss of patronage. I mean, I wouldn't trust a company that didn't tell me everything. If I dind't find out about it, and they kept pulling me down with extra charges etc. I'd be finding a lawyer to review everything that happened. I'll stick with my boring, cable-net connection with Internet Explorer/ Yahoo. n.n
Guest Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 update about this situation....orange has now ,after many phone calls promised me a full refund of ALL!!! phone charges, and given me £30 into my bank account to cover anymore charges while they try to fix my broad band. also....they have stated that as a good will gesture they will give me SIX months free broad band when its up and running properly....maybe it looks good on paper but they dont realise the stress that they have caused ...paul

Guest Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 i have to send in my next phone bill and they will compensate me all that i have spent on phonecalls to them,50p a min gets to be a lot when one phone call alone lasted nearly an hour....paul.
