We normally part them half way through the YB season, as we would have finished breeding by then and want to give the hens a break instead of constantly being driven, sitting etc ;)

;D same here let them have peace to rest & moult , theyll be raring to go again come the new year  ;D ;D                                        andy

as soon as youve finished wanting yb,s off them  :),,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i have found in the past that 3 or 4 younger stock cocks [obviosly flying out :)] help keep a w,hood team fresh and on their toes if seperated early [and basketed while cocks are away a race till monday on longer races, sunday in shorter races :)] and the stock cocks keep healthier for it :)

My stock birds and racers are in the same sections in the same loft so they all get seperated at the same time - the first weekend after the YB racing ends, mid-September.

Don't intend pairing again till Feb / March 2008. Still a long ways off and 2 of the hens have paired up already.  >:(
