A fantastic breeder that will have won,  a fast pigeon but will win at 1100 ypm as well, and I reckon go to about 320 mile possibly 400 but I'd need to put my glass on him. But what do i know? It's about time I got it wrong

I'm no expert, but i would say in my limited knowledge, its a sprinter, and it will breed winners!

Knowing me it will be a fantail or show bird or sumthin! PMSL!  ;D

I'd rather have more tangible evidence like what the bird has done, and what its offspring have done.

Theory into practice perhaps, and a backcheck on whether the results support the theory?

Albear is a good geniune bloke, and a very, very, knowledgable fancier! He knows a secret with the eyesign, but he won't tell me! Eyesign to me is an added interest with the birds, mine in particular, and I enjoyed your little challenge Ransom! But i gotta admit, i'm impressed Alan! Good shout!

lovely breeding eye, for racing i would have liked to see a bit more red iris, and mountainous, with it having a thin sircle of red iris i would mate it to a bird with good thick and mountainous iris, the remainder of the eye is very good, could possibly go down well in a show,

Thank you Dark Helmet, don't know if I know you??? But love the dementor avator

Which theory? perhaps, the one on here, Bruno where I've been spot on every time I've commented on an eye?

Or perhaps I'm imagining it and I've been getting it wrong ................. Bruno, you, and I doubt anyone else, has ever seen anyone as successful as I have been on here just from photographs, because you can not comprehend does not mean its not possible. Carney did it and so can I and as he said to me his dad cracked it and he went on to better it....... my aim is to do the same, always recognising he is the master.

when you go on jack barkels site there are 5 eyesign (experts) but there nearly all different, do you use any of these or did you use these albear, to get as good as you are because your always spot on. never seen carney but i know lads that had him to there lofts and he picked out what to get rid of, do you use carney's eye sign and does he have a book. cheers

Would be straight in the breeding shed!!!

Superb eye!

I'm no expert on 'eyesign' but somethings are obvious.......

Well done Jakjak, you're head and shoulders above 99% of fanciers!!

Ray, I do not believe in 'eye sign', if you follow 'conventional' books you won't get very far. Carney has a tape, which you can get from Boddy and Ridewood. It's worth getting. Those with blinkers on think it’s crap because of the colloquialism’s in it and sometimes Carney’s grammar is a bit incorrect and there’s one classic piece where he tries to define colour of an eye and get’s in a right twist. And of course the guy who made the tape Terry Lodge was viewed at times with suspicion!!

However if you concentrate on the substance and try not to be too psuedo and intellectualise it like those who can’t comprehend, it will be better than any of the books.

But I’d say the best ‘book’ you have is the birds in your loft. If you have performance birds have a look at their eyes and compare them to the birds that do not perform. That held me back for many years, cause the eyes I was looking at I didn’t know if they were good or not because I was not focusing on racing my birds.

But remember there have been thousands of pigeon fanciers (and the top guys) that have all tried to use the eye; and none and I mean none, have ever cracked it other than Carney (and now me ;D).

It is an affront to their intelligence and arrogance to think that this ordinary guy from the Midlands could get it right and all those top men can’t. Look at Mr Van Reet who tried a con with posting eyes, Stewart Wilcox who claimed the eye he posted was of a sprinter. Bruno who has seen it with his own eyes and then says he wants the practice not the theory. All those persons that have posted eyes on here can vouch for the fact that I have never seen or had knowledge of their birds prior to posting. PM them if in doubt (I’m sure someone probably has). And anyone whose loft I’ve been to can tell you I only judge on the eye and nothing else!

The classic is, even when people see it with their own eyes they won’t believe it!! But let me say how excited I am, it’s a fantastic feeling to be able to look in to the eye and tell what the bird can do it’s taken since 1981/ 2 that’s a long time.

Good luck Ray but do not use the eye until you are confident in what you can see, I’ve culled many a top pigeon over the years cause I thought I knew it, but I’ve learned from my mistakes!!

i think carney was a real genious back 20 odd years ago when i was racing pigeons then, but, very few could grasp it,even i dont grasp it all!!!

would love to get to grips with it and learning lots now and hope to put it to real good use now i am back again in pigeons, well done albear !!!!
