thanks im hopeing to have the loft done by summer the pics from DOVEScot will help

well just got the wood prices

 

2x2 75p mrt

2x1 35p mrt

4x2 £1.24 mrt

here is the killer

 

osb3 8x4 sheet £17.09

ply 8z4 sheet £39.22

 

thats a rip off thats jewsons for ya

 

so i cant afford that

I have an account with Jewson. They have or you have your prices wrong, I will get prices prices for you tomorrow,

Is the 2x2 tanalised, what grade is the osb and the plywood, looks dear to me but wood is funny prices at the moment  ;)

1x1 50p mrt

2x1 41p mrt

4x2 £1.84 mrt

 

osb2 1/2 inch 8x4 £11.65

osb3 3/4 inch 8x4 £18.21

 

ply 3/4 inch 8x4 £37.24  :o

 

so ill have to use sumit other than ply i aint paying that

there delivery is free no matter what your order but ill have to use

OSB3 for the floor

 

so ill have to use some sort of floor covering sand or sumit

build your sections first then lay the flooring, that way you can replace it, or get 6mm external ply and line the floor on top of your osb and replace when and if you need to. OSB is murder to scrape, try treated tounge and groove chip board(caber flooring) :)

yeah i have been thinking about the scraping if i use grills i could put paper down and then no need to scrape

 

but that ply is way to much i could lay single ply on top of the osb or hardboard

6mm ply is only about £6 a sheet :)

well so far it looks like this

 

34x 2x2 £102.

20x 2x1 £24.60

16x 4x2 £88.32

12x osb2 £139.80 1/2 inch

8x osb3 £145.68 3/4 inch

 

tot so far £500.40

i was mainly thinking of him saving on timber prices as demo boys have usually got some to sell !!!!
