Aye same here, tell them you will tell everybody at Blackpool how crap they are if they dinnae fix. There is no way it should be leaking guttering or no :(

In the meantime try and get a tarpaulin over the roof to protect the inside :)

I mate I agree with Dove scott I'd get a hold of the builder and demand it be fixed!!!  Should not leak.  Put one of those blue plastic tarps over it till rains stop.  Good luck.   jimbobboy usa

Since the loft is new I would definately get them back to it,but to be honest when you get rain coming in horizontal at 60mph like I know I do [and lots of others no doubt] there is not alot you can do except shut everything up and create very poor ventilation so in extreme weather it is something I just have to accept, can't find a way round it except for shutting it up completely which is even worse for the birds

I made my own lofts and thought i had done a good job until the first downpour!!! In the end i sealed all the corners of with solicone and put additional timber over the corners. But guttering would be the best solution.

mines was leaking but i built it myself...my harsh work. got it fixed though. i have windows with mesh, and when its raining i have a sliding peice of perspex to cover the windows. not good ventelation but keeps the rain out.

Depends on his condition after the weekend at Blackpool.  :D :D :D

it may be that with only 6 inches gap at the back   they could not screw and seal the cover strips on at the back

would it be possible to drape a tarpaulin sheet down the back and secure it along the top beetween the roof and top of the back with a slate lath

if not possible could use profile sheets and cut them to correct length then slide them down and again secure with fibre washered srcews

if all fails you may need to either slide the loft out with the aid of jacks or take down and seal the back before putting the sides and roof on

hope you can sort it out

ps my daughter and son in law purchased a brilliantly made loft  but the erectors NAILED it together
