Guest
Only stayed for first 10 or so lots, highest price was £320, lowest £90, bought lot 4 cheq hen (2005) but looks like its a cock, not a good sign!
CUZZO
After lot 10 prices seemed to average £80 ish. Last lot in sale Lot 51 made £340. Hope i'm wrong for the buyers but they looked quite plain to me, although you don't tend to see a pair of pretty working boots. Preferred the few smokey cheq. w/f's amongst them. Must have been some bargains amongst them because they are noted for their consistency of top performances and the supply of top pigeons to other continental fanciers. Each to his own ! They all looked plain to me too, but i feel at auctions there is the "bottom pen" syndrome, where the light etc affects how they look, and fanciers tend to walk past. The "hen" i bought (bottom pen) has to be one of the best handling birds i've ever had, and a real bargain, only 3 fanciers put in bids!! She was handled by 4 fanciers after and they all agreed that too!
