My uncle and grandad always used to pair up on January 1st. They'd spend all of Decemeber picking out which ones to pair then first thing New Years Day, spend the day in the loft. By the time the birds hatched the RPRA Rings would already be in the lofts.

hi all. when would be the latest for me to wean youngsters to give me enough time to get them ready for racing?

 

ive sent 12 week old well trained ybs to the first race and done well with them ,, and remember , these birds will be better suited flight wise[moult ] for the longer races on natural
