Peckedhen Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I have a yearling cock paired to a proven three year old hen. She is one of my best hens and he is a lovely bird but, the eggs have been clear twice now. How many more chances would you give him? :-/ :-/
retired Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Are you sure its the cock that is the problem?
Simeon Turner Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Providing everything is ok health wise then I think it comes down to how much you value him, if he doesn't fill after the third time, I would be tempted to race him and see how he goes on the road. But, I would definately check his health out first i.e. testing, as soon health problem that you cannot see may be in there which could make him infertile either temporary or forever!

bewted Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 try him with a differant hen first before you do anything else !!!!
