hi all i have a bird that got lost fetched it back ad a bit of trouble with it going off coming back next day but stoped it trained it up to 56 miles sent it to first race saturday just ad phone call its back ware i fetched it from its about 20 miles away from me asked the bloke if he wonted it but said no he wont bin it so a m8 is picking it up so what would you all do with it

re start its training i.e 5 mile then increase by 5 mile increase to 30 mile after its been flying around home for a while, or use the other method you mentioned to the finder

Is the loft it went in on race line? If so you will have trouble as soon as it gets hard. Keep it short on food and as said above start to re-train.
