Guest paulrstokes Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Not read it yet but just bought Albert Babbingtons van den bosch book. He started again this year after a 14 year break and won 10 old bird races witha small team of yearlings. He said he just did what was in the book
Guest spin cycle Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 i know its a dvd (not a book) but john halstead's 'wonderful widdowhood' is great. i bought it 2 years ago.....mind you i'm just a 'halstead' fan (sad but true) as i fly natural (dizzy)(dizzy)
carlsberg Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 loft stock and barrel got to be the best one
red1chq3 Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 "The secret of Speed", the auther slips my mind but a very good book detailing everything regarding all aspect of rqacing. but particulary the widowhood section, inc. feeding, it is very detailed, and if followed to the letter then expect nothing but good results.
xtccock Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 secret of speed by e.j.sains, like rocking horse to get hold of............n guess what
Guest gladdo Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 cant go wrong about dave allens widowhood book ... very good indeed !!!!!!!!!!!
Guest Paulo Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 Managed to get a copy of the Ken Kippax one "Pigeon Racing and Widowhood Our Way'' my mate in the club had a copy looks a bit dated now with its bright orange cover and 60's style pictures on the cover but I'm sure 80% of the stuff in it will still be revelant. I've also ordered some cheap vids for a fiver a piece from Boddy and Ridewood:- 1. Widowhood with hens the roundabout tape - Geoff Kirkland 2. Dean Pallet Widowhood 3. Simply the best Barry McNicolas Winning Natural, Darkness and Widowhood Systems Hopefully they will give me a few ideas for next year
