THE WELSH COMBINE IS TRYING TO PUSH BACK THE BIG RACES BY 2 WEEKS,,

more MONEY!..after putting up the weekly fee and birdage when they said they wouldnt earlier this year , they sent out letters saying because of the fuel hike they are left with no option...but of course they wont lower it when it goes back down again...they will just make up another excuse.

well the same old cr  p  onmost races   the deasil costs are low then as you go further the birdage goes up they still make more than they spend   but why should they try to get extra races from the amount of losses i hear they are having you wont get to end of season and unless voted it cant go through

This is what i have heard,because of the bad wheather at the start of the young bird racing a lot of fanciers are behind with their training and certain feds are looking to help these fanciers, personally i dont think they should alter the racepoints other fanciers have their birds trained and are preparing for the nationals,if they want to get extra races in then put them after the nationals why should we suffer for the fanciers who are behind. putting races back 2 weeks defeats the object of the darkness system.you put them on the system to have them in condition for these races. keep to the original programme.

I have just come back from the SWW meeting. We have voted for extending the season by 2 wks, infact only 1 wk as the 1st race was cancelled.

Personally i don't think it mattered what we decided tonight the feeling is a desicion has already been made at combine/national level.

Its not about money with our fed as we pay a fixed weekly fee wether we send or not so there is never a question of the fed losing money etc.

The most possitive thing that came out of the meeting was to have all youngbird libs on Sundays to avoid clashing etc especialy on the route we fly!

last sunday they piled in i know that phil but they did from the north yet south massive loss.s sammy g 7 out of 22   others the same so they talk sun lib as others do then youer in same boat been there done  it got burned

the fed went up at 7.45 from Swindon and returns were good, best yb race yet for those racing.

The unions should step in and organise liberations to help everybody, i.e north road lib sats and south road lib sun, how much clashing would that reduce?
