Guest dogeon Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 the first hot spot at porteshead of the rpra 1 loft blog on u tube
Tom Avis Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 Looks like the birds cleared really well and indications were that they were in for a good race, but why was the release trailer parked so close to that wall and railings? Some of the convoy must have gone very close to injuring themselves. Regards Tom
Guest IB Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 I was surprised too. They also appeared parked at the bottom of a dip, so the birds had to climb out of it to reach ground level. I also thought the 1st wave came back over the fence 'dropping' on top of the 2nd wave as it attempted to climb up out of the place. Almost a helix of birds there on the left side of trailer for a bit. Could have been nasty.

carl Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 question how can the birds see out of the trailer before the shutters go up,also looked a good liberation but a bit tight
Guest Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 the shutters go up untill you are ready to lib then you drop them and pull out 2 pins to allow the fronts to drop when you roll up the shutter and i was very surprised to see it so close to the wall and railings as well!
ChrisMaidment08 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 now you no why the tosses have not been very good with the birds there it should have been a much bigger area
Guest Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 now you no why the tosses have not been very good with the birds there it should have been a much bigger area not many back from yesterdays toss
knoxjn Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 that was a terrible place to lib the birds always turn back over the transporter either one way or the other you must have room all around there were fields all around they must have had permission of the farmer maybe the guys just inexperienced its hard to explain the volume of even 500 bird liberated at the same time its very exciting but also traumatic as you are responsible for so much of everyones hard work
