ChrisMaidment08 Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 well look at the age of them and the dinner jackets well talk about preening and the money they spent on doves cot for our patron could have bought two stray lofts

Guest chrisss Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 AGM , vote em out , whist i hate "terrs" blow them out if needed!!!! we need "a root and branch reform" [crap term]we are in the 21st century not the 1930s like some of these guys think.we need pr men, lots of "interesting" stories on tv,if the guy has pigeons or not means nothing,he must be able to put our case across, that takes politics, not the skill to fly a good bird,if this guy gets it wrong, none of us will have any birds in 10 years good or bad

Guest bigda Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 agreed , would think there is a hand over / take over in progress at present to bring him up to speed , but as chrisss stated we need a good pr person to work with him , for that side of things , defra rspb , and promoting the sport in any form do you mean to say some one is showing him around France and Spain as we speak eh :X

pjc Posted August 8, 2008 Author Report Posted August 8, 2008 AGM , vote em out , Yep, agree but they will then be replaced by the next band of dinosaurs waiting inthe wings sitting on the regions! Problem is the forward thinking people do not get voted on to region even if they do stand as the antichange brigade will have rallied around before the AGM to make sure they don't get voted in!

pjc Posted August 8, 2008 Author Report Posted August 8, 2008 How about compileing a list of say 10 questions about aspects of the sport that members would like to see either changed or implemented for the betterment? If the right questions were to be put together then maybe we could get the New GM to answer them and the q & a's could be published in the press etc. It would be like helping him to form an agenda with the genuine feelings of the membership and not just the garbage he'll be fed from council! He may even commit to helping make some changes or maybe i'll just keep dreaming? Phil
bewted Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 keep dreaming pjc,,,,,,,,,as they say,,,the old boys club !!! not for newcomers !!!
