Guest IB Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 It would have been better, in my opinion, had grandad persuaded the local business community to have the council set up a community loft for ferals. That way their numbers could be permanently and humanely controlled by replacing eggs with dummies, and euthanising the ones that succumb to injury and disease. It would also provide permanent employment for people interested in birds, and it could also be used in the education of local schoolkids. Getting young people involved in looking after animals, especially pigeons would also be a good thing.
