splitting hens from cocks its all down to preference i usualy split ybs after last race there still together as the cocks section is not ready yet , widowhood cocks are usualy allowed to rear a yb at end of season then split to moult the yb is there reward for winning , after the latebreds are reared i split the stock as well as the racers, same again the stock are still together until i get the widowhood boxes finished , i should get them all done by the week end then ill split the ybs
