Guest MBpigeonguy Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 i have a small hen who was hit by a hawk 2 months ago.(no flesh wounds) and ever since she does not fly as much, but i kept her on the team so latly her wing seems to be worst so i took her off the team and into the stock loft, where she seems to be getting better, but why is her wing not getting better ? whats wrong with it? she flys great for half an hour then she stops,
Guest cloudview Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 probably damaged atendon , ive had them like this and have found complete rest should be the treatment
Guest strapper Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 her spirit has been broken, keep her in for a while, till she regains her confidence and see if this helps.
Guest IB Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 You haven't said what you think is wrong with her wing; I may be wrong, but if there was something wrong with it, I think the bird would not be flying at all, far less for half an hour .. which I talso think is a reasonable exercise period, given that she is coming back from injury..
pjc Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 nothing seriously wrong if its flying 1/2hr but leave it to rest over winter and see what happens in the spring, if she is lagging behind the others then there maybe permenant ligement damage, if so then stop her before you lose her!
