cokacola Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 1. Will people definately find out if you race untransferred birds? Or can you fly and win normally and get away with it? - Just curious. 2. When people talk about training tosses from 10 miles, 20 miles etc - do they mean by road or as the crow flies? Thanks! Tariq.
Guest IB Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 1. A winning pigeon normally has its ownership verified, i.e. a check is done that the ring is in your name. 2. 'As the crow flies' though pigeons like roads don't always go on a straight, direct line.
Guest Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 I think it's only at top level [if then] that checks are ever made, and I have lost count of the number of times I have chased people for transfers but in this day and age it is only wise to cover your back, would be awful to have your glory spoilt by someone reporting you all for the sake of abit of paper so it's always wise to have your paper work in order
