hi I'm thinking about changing the perches in the loft at the minute we have 12x12x6 ply boxes at the Dublin show there was a loft the perch design was boxes roughly about the same size maybe deeper only the perch was 2x11/2 across the front with 4'' strip 1x1mesh at the back with a tray underneath for droppings I'm thinking about that sort of design

so what do you think

or do you think some other design

remember we have fantails with feathered feet

if anyone has photos (close up if possible) please post them

maybe DOVEScot or I think mutely could send their thoughts and the proper measurements

thanks micko

Muttley has been pm'd about selling and advertising on the site, and he can advertise once he has sent me his details to be an approved seller.

We have perches the very same as that for our Indian fantails, but we keep them away from the wall at the back by 1-2 inches, when we scrape them (sorry when your Irish sister scrapes them :) ) the crap falls down the back onto the floor   :)

We also have the tray type but find the Indians prefer the ones you have as there is not enough room for them to turn in the standard ones like these and Mutley's ones, good for normal pigeons

not sure if this type is any good for you  (just a simple perch)

i use these  perches  easy to clean

they just fold flat against the back of the loft

great for the fancy's with feathered  feet

another with some cock birds on

they are great perches i find (cheap and simple to knock up)

just have  dowel pins  in the top and the bottom

pull bottom dowels they fold against the wall while you clean out
