pjc Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 it won't happen, the RPRA will not allow a show within a show. Nothing to stop you organising it in a seperate venue but would it be suported?
ChrisMaidment08 Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 oh i would come with my bird ;D ;D ;D ;D
retired Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Jason - I would happily support it with my 'Champion Show Racer' once he is here (JUST A SMALL HINT PC!!!) Also depends on the prize money if i am bringing the Delbars that far its got to cover my hotel, entry fees, fuel costs, beer, food ;D
mark Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 oh i would come with my bird ;D ;D ;D ;D its a bird show Chris, your pet sheep isn't allowed loll
phillips Posted December 14, 2008 Author Report Posted December 14, 2008 com on lads and lasses have your say if not at blackpool we will have a venenue for all of us all i thought was with the pigeon basics stand why not try for a show at the same stand ?
mark Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 oh i would come with my bird ;D ;D ;D ;D its a bird show Chris, your pet sheep isn't allowed loll
ChrisMaidment08 Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 i know it would be great idea but pjc right rpra would not allow it why not just sort something else out chris you can sleep in car ;D ;D ;D ;D
grizzle_hen Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 its a good idea, but would need to be in a separate venue, as would need more room on the stand etc, also would the question of when to hold the show, as we will be tied up for most of the day at the show, but it could be looked into
ChrisMaidment08 Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 won every show its been in ;D ;D
pjc Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 If interested we could put a class or two on at the Midland Show Racer society open show which will be held in the Tipton area next December.
jimmy white Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 it won't happen, the RPRA will not allow a show within a show. Nothing to stop you organising it in a seperate venue but would it be suported? i would think pjc would be correct,, but a seperate venue, who knows,, could be poss ,, then again, on the pb stand [allthough not sure] would be able to sell pigeons ,, then what about a selling class in aid of pb, ??
ChrisMaidment08 Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 the idea of pbasic show sale good one
grizzle_hen Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 i would think pjc would be correct,, but a seperate venue, who knows,, could be poss ,, then again, on the pb stand [allthough not sure] would be able to sell pigeons ,, then what about a selling class in aid of pb, ?? not sure about that jimmy, seem to remember when filling the forms out for the stand, there were several others that you had to put in if you were having birds on the stand. Just had a look at the information we've got and something about DEFRA, bio-security and having proof of vaccinations for all birds to be sold etc...
jimmy white Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 yes there is a lot of red tape,,, but vaccinated birds only should be ok, the defra side could possiby sorted out? [my brother, who shows canaries and secy of some club, does this defra work , i should imagine he would be well in the know,,but wonder if this would be poss,, even at the stand :)it surely hold about 20 odd pens up , even three high but again , i really wouldnt know if this was poss richard would have to look well into it
grizzle_hen Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 we would really need more room on the stand tho and I'm sure the forms for the DEFRA stuff had to be in when we sent off the stand application form. also, if it was at another venue, a time would have to be worked out, probably in the evening because everybody would be in the winter gardens for most of the day, dont even know if pigeon shows are held in the evening?
ALF Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Personally i dont think it's worth the hassle as most people are out enjoying themselves at night and seeing old friends that they only catch up with at Blackpool
jimmy white Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 many shows are held in the evening, but a venue,, at that time, may proove difficult
DOVEScot Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Personally i dont think it's worth the hassle as most people are out enjoying themselves at night and seeing old friends that they only catch up with at Blackpool I don't think it would involve us entering birds, it would be the judges that would be inconveinced, also is it only going to be racers or would it be open to all members of the site :-/
pjc Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 anybody staying there for the weekend isn't going to want to have to keep birds there all weekend for a show 1 evening. If you do find a venue etc, i'll offer to be a judge. Phil
