why oh why are things being removed all the time we have had this discussion does nonoe ever listen selective removal cause.s rows and to keep on refering to thread with rule that mods are right on there quest does nothing but annoy others   back few weeks ago all this was aired yet its wind in the sky cos nothing changes    if a thread is not being abusive or attacking mods or site then why interfere    mr perry youer avitar says best site yet when i put for being modded you removed thread and then put it back  it was joke but you are correct it was of topic re number plate for sale    so what are we going to turn into site were noone can say anything or its locked  get real please this site is like it is cos of the off the cuff remarks that makes peaple like it  not cos its all prim proper like one othersite if you want it to be best then let its members make it the best not get um fed up so they leave it for another

Chris, we are fast approaching the anniversary of this Site's first shut down (hopefully last). I don't think you were a member then, but the circumstances were much the same - there was a place created for banter, but it was still being carried out on other threads accross all the boards, and folk basically stopped posting, because their threads were always being hijacked.

 

Richard closed the Site down, removed the banter board, and put in new rules which everyone had to sign-up to, before the Site was put back On-line.

 

Members later requested a place for banter, and it was eventually given.

 

We are now back with folk still not happy, and abuse of what Richard has provided.

 

Usually two sides to every story - lessons still not learned.

oh i agree but its only little prob being made into big ones by being heavey handed  sometimes its like being boss you give workers some free hand they enjoy if strick they go elswere its balance not reached here from what i see

it will be a pity if the site closes again, there are some threads close to the bit,where some do push it to it lol.

but i do agree as long as there is no abuse or ganging up on a member then it should be ok.

there are points to let threads run and also the opposite.  all the best.

yes this unfortunately is true, the webmaster has since re-arranged the forum , [quite a few times to suit the members , obviuosly] we now have a board for most all things pigeonwise, starting at the main notice board , right down to the lost and found, , many posts are in fact not deleted but merely changed to the board suiting , i,e lost and found , illnesses, race day , and many many more, one instance maybe to explain ,,on the illnesses , we have a " whats wrong with my pigeon thread" now if these are all on the same board it is far easier to look back on for any fancier wanting to find out whats wrong with their bird or post" whats wrong with my bird ", so there is, in fact a board for most anything pigeon related , if all the posts went on the main board , we would have lost found, illnesses ,  race day ,show birds , chit chat ,, just to mention a few, the webmaster has went in to great detail to ,, keep each subject seperate for easier looking back on , as they soon would disappear on the main board , page by page , sometimes these boards are abused by few , which off course theres no need for,, i think its fair to say , the webmaster has  worked long hours ,  with much thought,  to make this forum , the biggest and best forum there is , and in my opinion we should all be very gratefull for this , there are many who would like to condemn , but there are far many  more who are gratefull, for such a forum

well im afraid im the culprit having a bit of banter with vallance on the post not by any means trying 2 hijack the post by intention, it could have quite easily been moved 2 chatters problem solved, and eventually a reply to my question came and was locked by geraint with no means of reply .......

if i have transferred any threads [none are deleted ,, all kept] to the webmasters private thread , if requested ive allways given the member the reason ,,,, but mods have no need to do this ,[as per rules] the reason being that mods just simply dont have the time to answer asap or in fact at all,,,,as theres much more going on , most of the time , there many posts to go through,, rules are broken by all, this is a way of life, most are easy mended , but when its habitual rule breakers , breaking rules on purpose , to disrupt , im sure you must agree this cannot go on

Simple Question to every member who uses this site. WHAT IS WRONG WITH A BIT OF BANTER???? In my opinionNOTHING This site is becoming a dictatorship because moderators and admin haven't got the savvy to distinguish between those who post with good intentions and those who are here to disrupt. The majority of members do their best to try and be helpful and give good advice but it seems that the minority rule this site and if a thread doesn't conform to the opinion of the moderator who happen to be on line at the time then it is removed. WHO are these people???? TIN GODS who live in their own little world, I DON'T THINK SO. Pigeons have existed and so have those who keep them, long before this site came to fruition, and will exist long after this site has gone. Freedom of speech is the order of the day and who are these moderators to say who is entitled to speak as they see. WE LIVE IN A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY, NOT A DICTATORSHIP

I have powers as well amar. I can choose to turn my computer on and read (or not read because it has been removed) what ever I want to. Let's ALL live in the REAL world where we all have an opinion, and don't use or need to use abusive language or be disruptive to have our say
