jimmy_84 Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 im trying to break some yearling racers to mine at the moment but instead of tape ive clipped one wing....pete i tried that and it didn't work well as they weren't able to escape any predator i found with taping them you dont have to wait for feathers to grow back and every couple of days you can adjust what you are doing with them
Guest peter.j Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 oops do you think i could use that tape to stick the ends back on lol.....pete[there only out under supervision]

jimmy_84 Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 yes my dog is supposed to do the cats but we used to have 1 so he doesn't attack them
Guest peter.j Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 i like what your saying tho ive got to wait for them to moult out now whereas with the tape no wait......pete
jimmy_84 Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 i have tried many methods from advice of people some good some bad and in the end the method that worked for was tap but doesn't work for every1 i have pulled feathers, clipped, banded but tape worked best as it sticks and you can remove it with out any harm to bird and lessens the risk of attack. This may sound silly pete infact not sure if to ask but hey here goes Will my birds regrow same colour and marking's after their moult and when does it usually start and what is best to feed during the moult and supplements
Guest peter.j Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 on the colour thing i should imagine yes they would grow the same ,the rest of it i dont think im the man to answer this for you im just starting out myself im sure another member will advise you better than i could ,dont be afraid to ask as everybody had to ask similar questions when they started....pete
