tipplerboy Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 i need to know where i can purchase feed for my rollers in birmingham does anyone from brum know where to get it and what type to buy for rollers ,any large bags of a particular make or any info will be of help, thanks
tipplerboy Posted July 14, 2008 Author Report Posted July 14, 2008 would a bag of BUCKTONS PIGEON DEPURATIVE be the right type of feed for birmingham rollers?
Merlin Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 Best mix your own if you are just flying them, wheat, barley, milo, also much cheaper than store bought feed. Then about once a forthnight get some protein into them for one day feed.Depurative is sufficient if you wish to feed them this.
tipplerboy Posted July 14, 2008 Author Report Posted July 14, 2008 but where could i buy it from if not from a store?do you mean from a farm?
Merlin Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 Yes from a farm, its much cheaper if you can manage to get some.

jimmy_84 Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 yes i just buy a standard corn mix and pick out the maize they get maize in feed once a week and they don't do bad while flying they still preform but would be better on wheat and red band occasionally so i have been told
pjc Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 you will probably find any local farm supplies store will have wheat and barley to mix your own.
Guest Freebird Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 Rollers will perform-raise young -ect- on Wheat only.Maybe keep grit for them at all times. If your are going into compettion you will need to "twek" the food. Maybe look for a Roller group through the internet--Yahoo-etc. Hi Don. What do you mean by "twek" the food.
