Down  on the Uppers?

Does more down, up, especially when it lays, like a golden crown on the heads of weaned youngbirds, prove that the breeding part of the season, has gone well?   It makes Vic, feel up and not down, to see it!  LOL

Golly Vic, that's almost poetic.                  Poetically To "I love white pigeons"

I,m sure it could have been you,

Whose pigeon slipped down the Flue,

'Twas  your delight,You called it "SNOWHITE"

But it's now called the "OLD SMOKEY BLUE".

This is the Vic that I like

Not the grumpy old tyke

When he is sharp, He's not the old fart

We sometimes have come to dis-like(bunny)

fact or mith if yb hold on to down longar than normal makes for a better bird

Well, if young bird is dilute ( silver etc. in racing world ) it won't have much down anyway. More down = Genetic make-up. Natural i.e. rock dove has full down. Some youngsters with certain traits have no down but come maturity, shine like diamonds. Food for thought "Old Vic"(evil) Like all things in life there is no full proof system / answer etc.
