It's happened. I have got my first stray of the year today. It hung about here all day and eventually went. I had planned to make up a set of rabbit hutch type boxes to put them in so that they don't slip past and into the loft. I just have'nt got around to it. I think it's a priority for this week. Last year one slipped past me and I found it on the floor of the loft next day. It was dead. And it lay there in a pool of liquid droppings. To say I paniced is the understatement of the century. I scrubbed the place out with distinfectant before I would allow the birds back in there. I think I was lucky because nothing nasty happened to my birds, but I was in a state of worry for the following couple of weeks.

very sensible to have a stray box and another for an isolation cage ;)
